What is the SASM PTA?

The SASM PTA is a charity fundraising group run by parents of children in the school, who work with the school staff team. The PTA is a link between home and school that brings staff, parents, carers and children together socially supporting the school. If your child is at SASM, it's your PTA.  Our constitution gives you more details about the SASM PTA.

All parents automatically become members of the SASM PTA when their child joins the school. The social and fundraising events organised by our parents and staff continue to provide money for the school. As a result of funds raised by the PTA, all non-residential educational visits are available to all children at no cost to parents and carers. This approach can only continue with your support.

Whether you would like to stand for election as a committee member, volunteer to help at a PTA event or support our events in another way, there is a role for you!

How can you help the PTA?

The success of the PTA depends entirely on the support of parents, carers and staff of the school. We appreciate any assistance.

Volunteering to be part of the PTA committee:

Please email our team if you can offer your help office@sasm.rbksch.org  we won't demand much of your time, we all work and juggle our lives, but many hands make light work.

Hosting an a sponsorship advert:

As we approach our SASM Winter Festivities or SASM Fest, we send a form requesting advertising  from our sponsors to be placed outside your home for two weeks around the time of our events.  We have a great relationship with local businesses who have been sponsoring our events since they opened.

Helping on a one-off basis:

We hold film nights for pupils from 3-5pm each term as well as SASM Winter Festivities in December and SASM Fest in July. Look out for an email from the school requesting volunteers. You can lend your support for an hour or more to any event with a regular committment.
