A very warm welcome to St Andrew’s and St Mark’s CofE Junior School, where we believe in nurturing every child to live life in all its fullness, as inspired by John 10:10: “I have come in order that you might have life - life in all its fullness.”
At our school, we are committed to creating a caring and supportive Christian environment where each child is valued, respected, and encouraged to flourish. Our school is a special place with a genuine love of learning. There is a high level of innovation in our teaching practices - from lessons in oracy to using a personal Chromebook, our pupils are supported to the fullest extent in their learning. By giving equal importanace to developing pupils' values as well as their academic study, we strive for every child to become a confident and positive life-long learner.
We work in partnership with our families, the local community, and the church to provide the best possible education for all our children and I am delighted that you have shown an interest in your child joining our school.
We look forward to welcoming you and your child to St Andrew’s and St Mark’s, where together we can help them grow, thrive, and achieve their fullest potential.
John 10:10: "I have come in order that you might have life - life in all its fullness."
Caring for others is at the heart of what we do. We are guided by our 12 Christian values.
Pupils earn Christian Value Points (CVPs) for demonstrating any of our values. When pupils reach a milestone they earn rewards, such as a book from our own book vending machine.
Our exceptional facilities include a whole-class cookery room, science lab, art room and 'pod' spaces for group work.
Our school curriculum is bespoke to our pupils and has been developed by our team. All pupils are taught English, maths, RE. science, geography, history, music, PE, art, French, classics and computing.
Our teaching approach combines the best of current pedagogical thinking with technology. All pupils have their own Chromebook for use within school, which support their written work within lessons.
