What is the SASM PTA?
The SASM PTA is a charity fundraising committee run by parents of children in the school and a staff representative. The PTA is a link between home and school, brings staff, parents, carers and children together socially supporting the school. If your child is at SASM, it's your PTA.
All parents automatically become members of the SASM PTA when their child joins the school. The social and fundraising events organised by the Committee continue to provide money for much needed facilities and resources for the children. Most activities are designed to be 'family events' but there are some that are aimed specifically at a solely parent audience.
The PTA holds meetings throughout the year including an Annual General Meeting.
What do we do?
The PTA runs regular events at the school, including: Christmas and Summer Fairs (SASMFest), upper and lower school discos, cake sales and quiz nights. Money from these events have already paid for school theatre trips and workshops, IT equipment, library books, class wet play equipment, playground kit, a PA system and new curtains for the hall.
How can you help?
The success of the PTA depends entirely on the support of parents, carers and staff of the school. We appreciate any assistance.
